This policy explains what EgeraTech collects when you use our website and your EgeraTech ID, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
EgeraTech, based in Bujumbura, Burundi, is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@egeratech.com about anything in this policy.
2. What we collect
When you create an EgeraTech ID we store your full name, username and email address, together with a cryptographic hash of your password — never the password itself. We also keep the date you joined and, when you reset a password, a short-lived verification code.
3. How we use it
We use your data to create and protect your account, to sign you in across EgeraTech products, to send the emails a service needs in order to work such as password reset codes, and to reply when you contact us.
4. Analytics and cookies
Our public website loads Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects usage data such as the pages viewed and an approximate location, so that we can understand what visitors find useful. Your browser settings can block these cookies.
5. Storage on your device
After you sign in, your browser keeps your session tokens in its local storage so that you stay signed in. Signing out removes them, and so does clearing your browsing data.
6. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers who host our infrastructure and deliver our email, and where the law requires us to.
7. Retention and security
We keep account data for as long as your EgeraTech ID exists. Passwords are stored only as hashes, password reset codes expire after five minutes, and access to production data is limited to the people who need it.
8. Your rights
You can view and correct your name, username and email at any time from your account page, and you can ask us to delete your EgeraTech ID by writing to contact@egeratech.com.
